Flooded Stairs from Storms

This home fell victim to viscous storms that flooded the entire house. The owners of this home had never dealt with SERVPRO before, but they called SERVPRO® of Pulaski and Laurel Counties and were pleased with how quickly we showed up on the scene. We had the carpet torn out and the water up in no time. Mold sets up quickly after a water damage, so the owners were thankful they called us, before dealing with another loss.  The stairs are saturated in the first photo while the stairs are free of water and carpet in the second photo, so no mold could set up at all. They had to replace the carpet for this situation, but it turned out better than having to pay to replace new stairs and mold remediation.
