How to Prevent Wind Damage

There are ways to protect your home against wind damage this summer. 

Prevention

Take a look around your home. Do you have any lowered power lines, or trees or limbs that look weak, even check for larger pieces of furniture or home equipment that wind could pick up and damage your home with during a storm. 

Roof 

At least once a year, look over your roof. Check it for missing shingles and other damages or decay. Maybe it's time for a new roof?

Update Your Insurance

If you know it's going to be a summer full of hail, high winds, and storms --it may be time to update your insurance policy. Double check that all of the damages that could occur to your home are covered under your insurance. 

Access the Damage 

After a storm, see what the storm and heavy winds have brought to your home.
