The Deodorization Process
When fire damage occur in your home --there are other aspects that can be damaging to your home and contents inside your home.
Soot removal and fire odor control are also two common aspects of any restoration process. A professional company, such as SERVPRO® of Pulaski and Laurel Counties, has decades of experience dealing with smoke and odor damages in your home.
Before tackling fire odor problems, our technicians take steps to make sure the working area is secure, and all soft contents items that are impacted get removed.
After severely charred objects get taken out and discarded, our SERVPRO® of Pulaski and Laurel technicians work towards cleaning off soot residue. Since smoke can penetrate deeply into substances, unpleasant aromas could still exist after removing the items that have been impacted by smoke odor. When foul smells are still present, we take further steps to deodorize your building materials and contents. The deodorization process includes several different techniques that work in various ways to provide more pleasant aromas.
To start, our SERVPRO® of Pulaski and Laurel Counties team conducts chemical containment to chemically block or restrict particles from circulating into the air. We use a pump sprayer to dispense out these chemicals in areas around the source. We have an ESPORTA machine that washes your soft contents in with a force to remove the smoke odors and fire damages.
We clean out HVAC systems to get the smoke and fire smell out of the smaller parts of the home. We have foggers that can break down these aromas, if they stay present in HVAC systems that do not have traditional metal coils.
Trust your home with a professional when you have fire or smoke damages present.
