Summertime: Grilling Edition
It's that time of year when the grill gets going and family and friends head over for a cookout. When the grilling occurs, it is always time for grilling safety.
Grills can be a fun summer activity, but there are ways to make sure the barbecue is safe for you and your family.
Here are a few tips for grilling season:
- Make sure to keep the grill away from any structures, like your home, and away from over-hanging trees or branches.
- Keep the grill clean. You want to make sure things are cooling off before cleaning them and keeping coals in metal containers to throw them away.
- Always keep your grill stable and on stable ground.
- Check for leaks in your grills that are gas.
- Make sure to never leave a grill unattended around pets or children. Making sure there is supervision when the grill is hot even after it has been turned off or put out.
Keep these tips in mind this summer when you're firing up the grill for a family barbecue. Safety is key when it comes to having summer fun!
